International Seminar in Cameroon in January 2020

Verre Naasten (DVN) and the University Institute of International Development of Cameroon (IUDI), are organizing an International Seminar with their partners from West and Central Africa. This French speaking seminar will take place in Yaoundé (Cameroon) from 6-15 of January 2020. The theme of the seminar is: ‘Andragogy for peaceful cohabitation and holistic development’.

The objectives of the seminar are:

  • To awaken the participants on the role of the church in establishing peace in society.
  • To motivate the church in the pursuit and maintenance of peace in a pluralistic society.
  • To enrich the knowledge of the participants on the importance of adult education/training for peacekeeping, so to provide a solid foundation for sustainable development in society.

Sharing knowledge

We believe this seminar is an opportunity for our guests/participants to deepen their knowledge on the subject of andragogy, peaceful cohabitation in a pluralistic society and sustainable development. The participants will be able to share their knowledge and experiences with each other. They will be able to openly express their difficulties and successes, and engage in personal and group reflections, with a view to gaining answers to questions related to the theme of the seminar.

We ask all our partners to pray together with us for the success of the seminar in consideration of the objectives.
